Hi, I’m Bob.
I help leaders and teams navigate complexity, move through chaos, and build systems that work.
Over the past two decades, I’ve worked with some of the world’s most respected organizations during moments of change, crisis, and transformation. My job is to bring structure, calm, and focus to situations where the stakes are high and the path forward isn’t obvious.
I hold an MBA in Sustainable Management and a BA in Philosophy, which shape how I think and work. But my most important lessons didn’t come from a classroom. I learned by living.
I rebuilt the operations of a major metropolitan newsroom from scratch, training a team of lifelong print journalists on an entirely new digital platform just as the industry was imploding.
I moved to Japan with little more than a backpack and ended up building a life there for six years.
I crossed Southeast Asia overland in the days before cell phones and internet cafes, earned an MBA in my 40s, and stepped into leadership roles.
I’ve helped reorganize global enterprises, redesign executive compensation systems, and lead culture transformations inside highly regulated, highly political environments.
And I’ve made mistakes. Like joining what I thought was a mission-driven nonprofit—only to discover it was a cult-like organization led by someone now under federal indictment. That experience sharpened my ability to spot manipulation and deepened my commitment to ethical leadership.
Most recently, I’ve been helping organizations shift from traditional, top-down management toward more adaptive, agile, and human-centered ways of working.
Through it all, I’ve built a reputation as a calm presence in chaotic situations—someone who listens deeply, builds trust, and knows how to move from insight to execution.
Today, I work with just a few select clients at a time as a fractional executive, strategic advisor, or project lead. My focus is always the same: help you find clarity, move forward, and build something that lasts.
I live in Brooklyn with my wife Alex Jamieson (an author, artist, and Oscar-nominated filmmaker), our son Laken, and our cats, Kiwi and Clementine.
And I still believe the most important work of our time is helping humans work well together. Especially when times are tough.
