When the house is on fire, I don’t run a workshop. I grab a hose.

I’m a Fractional COO & strategic operator who thrives in chaos — ambiguity, misalignment, and institutional stuckness.

I take on the problems too weird for a job description and too risky for most consultants.

No frameworks or fluff. Just alignment and momentum when it matters most.

I step in when the pressure’s high: big goals, looming deadlines, sudden departures, or stalled strategies. I work directly with founders, executives, and boards to fix what’s broken and get things moving again.

“Bob is one of the very few people I’ve ever met who has years of experience and is well-versed in the latest cutting-edge approaches. He’s incredibly high IQ and high EQ. That is very, very rare.”

Lisa Lewin, CEO General Assembly

  • The Role(s) I Play

As a Fractional COO I step in when the founder is underwater, the team is misaligned, and execution isn’t matching ambition.

Most clients engage me 1–2 days/week to rebuild cadence, structure, and clarity across functions.

    ——

I’ve also been known to show up as:

➤ Transformation Lead: Guiding the org through major shifts and growth spurts.

➤ Chief of Staff: Turning vision into execution with sharp coordination of the leadership team.

➤ People Ops Fixer: Resetting culture, role clarity, and team dynamics across the org.

➤ Firefighter / Architect / Diplomat: Depends on the day.

  • Why Me?

Because I don’t flinch in the hard parts. Because I’ve walked through organizational hell — and helped build systems that work on the other side.

Because I can talk to your board, coach your team, audit your roadmap, and write your next all-hands update — in the same week.

Because what you’re facing isn’t theoretical. And neither is my help.

Pricing & Packages

I work on both monthly retainers and fixed-fee packages (for projects with clear, containable scopes).

Retainers typically range from $10,000 to $30,000/month and fixed-scope projects start at $25,000.
